WB: 16.10.23 This week we finished our houses and homes topic by looking at houses in lots of countries around the world. We talked about how the houses are built and why they have certain features, for example houses in hot countries are often white to reflect the sunlight and houses in some countries are raised on stilts to protect them from flood waters or animals and insects! We really enjoyed learning about this 😀 We talked about the season of Autumn this week in class, and we did lots of fun art and writing tasks linked to this. We also enjoyed music lessons, ICT tasks and Healthy Kidz. There were some special visitors in assembly this week... the local firefighters came to tell us about firework safety. The boys sat really well and listened to all of the firefighters advice on how to stay safe at this time of year. Super work this week, everyone. Well done ⭐️
Some of our Autumn activities this week 🌿🍂🦔🍁🦔
This week was NI book week. To celebrate we were asked to bring our favourite books to school. We shared them with each other and then we created a new front cover. Mrs Wethers read us one of her favourite books, The Smeds and the Smoos. Finally, as a real treat, we got to watch the Smeds and the Smoos animation on the TV 😀
This week we had a fun sensory tray all about Harvest.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
