I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse of all our school has to offer. 

 

Lurgan Model Primary School, built in 1863, has a long and proud history. The school originally educated children up to school leaving age and welcomed all children regardless of religion.

 

The school is currently a controlled primary school. Our current enrolment consists of 230 pupils, including 26 nursery pupils. The children range in age from 3 to 11 years. Presently the school has a staff of 11 teachers, including the Principal. There are no composite classes. 

 

In June 2022, our parents voted overwhelmingly to begin the process to officially transform our school to a Controlled-Integrated School. We have submitted a development proposal to the Education Authority and hope to secure approval from the Department of Education for this change.
